Note

Respondents were asked, "Thinking about life after the COVID-19 pandemic, which of the following payment methods would you be likely to ever use for in-person purchases? Please select all that apply."

Methodology

Data is from a May 2021 YouGov survey as cited in company blog post. Adults ages 18+ were surveyed worldwide during May 2021. The online survey was conducted in Australia, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, and the US. Sample sizes were between 511 and 2,093. Data is nationally representative for each country except Hong Kong and Indonesia, which use online representative samples, and India and Mexico, which use urban representative samples.
