eMarketer Hires Former Ad Age Editor as Content Strategist and Executive Editor

April 10, 2018 (New York, NY) – eMarketer is proud to announce that Ann Marie Kerwin has been appointed head of content strategy and executive editor for its flagship product, eMarketer PRO. A 20-year veteran of the news business, Kerwin has covered publishing, media and marketing at three business journals.

“In addition to her vast experience in the digital content space, Ann Marie always brings a creative flair and new ideas to whatever she is working on,” said eMarketer co-founder and chief innovation officer Geoff Ramsey. “In this critical role as change agent, she will help guide our growing content team of researchers, forecasters, analysts, writers, interviewers and editors as they explore new ways to delight our clients with data and insights about all things digital.”

As content strategist for eMarketer PRO, Kerwin will lead the analyst team, staying ahead of trends to identify the most important topics for clients. She will look for opportunities to expand coverage of topics and regions, as well as develop new ways of delivering information to clients.

“I’m thrilled to be at eMarketer and look forward to shaping its content,” said Kerwin. “Today, as more and more brands take direct charge of their digital marketing, they need a trusted source of data and information to understand what is happening in the digital ecosystem so they can make informed decisions about where to spend their marketing dollars. The depth and breadth of eMarketer’s content is one of the most powerful tools for shaping brand insights.”

“There is tremendous depth to Ann Marie’s skill and ability,” said Sherry Adams, senior vice president of content at eMarketer. “Her mastery of clear writing, accurate reporting and shrewd editing is unmatched. We are eager to incorporate her talents into our dynamic team.”

Kerwin comes to eMarketer from Ad Age, which she joined in 1997 as a reporter covering the magazine and newspaper industries. After becoming editor and New York bureau chief, Kerwin helped launch the daily MediaWorks webpage on AdAge.com and daily email newsletter, which eventually reached over 100,000 subscribers. Most recently, she oversaw and developed member content for Ad Age’s membership program, and oversaw editorial for the custom studio, working with clients to shape their branded content.
