Methodology

Data is from a January 2021 Allianz report titled “Allianz Risk Barometer 2021”. 2,769 executives were surveyed during October and November 2020. Respondents were from 92 countries and territories. The annual corporate risk survey was conducted among Allianz customers (global businesses), brokers, and industry trade organizations. It also surveyed risk consultants, underwriters, senior managers, and claims experts in the corporate insurance segment of both Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) and other Allianz entities. Most respondents were from large-sized enterprises (44%, n=1,234) with >$500 million in annual revenues. Respondents were also from mid-sized enterprises (18%, n=495) with $250-$500 million in annual revenues and small-sized enterprises (38%, n=1,040) with <$250 million in annual revenues. Risk experts from 22 industry sectors were featured.
