Looking at most-asked-for brands, gaming systems were three of the top five for boys 8 to 12: Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation. However, gaming brands didn’t crack the top five for girls. This points toward a broader gender gap in gaming’s status among kids. Plenty of girls play, to be sure, but gaming is less of a presence among girls in general.
