In an analysis of client spending on Facebook and Instagram in Q4 2019, Adstage found that Instagram Stories had a median CPM of $7.99, not far below Facebook News Feed’s median CPM of $8.87. On a cost-per-click (CPC) basis, Instagram Stories advertising was actually more expensive, at $1.84 vs. $0.81 for Facebook News Feed.
