Weapon Accessories Ads Ban. After the riot on Capitol Hill, Facebook announced that it was banning ads that promote weapon accessories and protective equipment, such as gun safes, vests, and holsters, in the US through at least January 22. Facebook already prohibited ads for weapons, ammunition, and weapon enhancements.
