The two most popular services with advertising, YouTube and Hulu, feature subscription ad-free tiers, so a portion of viewing on those platforms also happens without ads.

    We expect time spent with mobile gaming will decrease by 2.2% this year, falling to an average of 26.7 minutes per day. However, average time spent will still be much higher in 2021 than it was in 2019 (23.4 minutes per day). Overall, the slight increase in monthly users compared with the slight decrease in time spent in 2021 still bodes well for mobile gaming.

And spending time on social platforms seemed to be a popular activity, taking up an average of 3:03 per day. This included use of YouTube, which GlobalWebIndex categorizes as a social network.

In a VidMob survey in May 2018, 46% of 25-to-34s said they had increased their usage in the past year. Despite all this digital video usage, millennials manage to watch plenty of traditional TV.
