Facebook usage on a weekly basis was reported by 86% of respondents ages 18 to 34, while YouTube clocked a 75% usage rate and Instagram came in at 65%. All other social platforms’ usage was significantly less among this age group. Snapchat and reddit were much more popular with the youngest group surveyed compared with older ages, garnering weekly usage rates of 37% and 32%, respectively.

These figures suggest a promising but limited future for drones in European ecommerce deliveries—and that’s borne out by usage (or non-usage) to date. Even in an advanced ecommerce market like the UK, drones don’t yet play a role. And significant rollouts will take years. The bottom line? According to March 2020 polling by MTM Junior and CBC/Radio-Canada, 53% of children/teens ages 2 to 17 watched YouTube every day or almost every day. Six in 10 (61%) adult YouTube users used the platform monthly, according to data from the Ryerson Social Media Lab and Dynata. The study, conducted in July 2020, demonstrated considerable jumps compared with 2017 across genders and age brackets.
