Q: Can we expect more consolidation in the market over the next few years, as big players take over smaller ones? (As an example, the purchase of successful Cornershop app by Walmart in LATAM.) Or will we see new small/niche players?
But pioneers based in Germany include Bett1, a mattress maker—one of several active across Europe, and as of June 2019 a survivor in a sector apparently headed for consolidation. Another relative newcomer is Horizn Studios, a D2C luggage manufacturer with two physical stores in Berlin and London.
But consolidations among addressable selling organizations last year fostered the hope of simplifying the buying process. Xandr, Dish Network, Altice and Frontier joined forces to offer a national addressable product, while Ampersand is now serving as the arm to Comcast, Cox and Charter to do the same. The partnering of these addressable sales organizations is a welcome development.
