When the pandemic forced a retail client of ad agency Merkle to close its stores, like many other retailers, it pivoted toward ecommerce. Merkle used social listening “to help the client figure out what types of products customers are looking for and what types of products they should be adding to the website as quickly as possible,” Talerico said.
