Go D2C to Garner Loyalty. This is an important trend, but not a game changer for retailers that already have good channels-to-market in place. For smaller retailers, though, D2C has great potential for customer lock-in and loyalty. Smaller retailers, particularly digitally native ones, should continue to capitalize on the D2C trend. Loyalty built up during the pandemic should be further cultivated.
