Facebook’s US and Canada ad revenues came in at roughly $8.38 billion, up from $7.20 billion in Q1 2019. The US and Canada accounted for roughly 48% of Facebook’s worldwide revenues. On the earnings call, Facebook CFO David Wehner said the precipitous drop in revenues during March had moderated in the start of Q2.

The reduction in commuting during the pandemic suppressed radio consumption: Just 77% of survey respondents in Canada said they traveled in a car in 2021, compared with 92% in 2020, according to Edison Research’s Infinite Dial Canada 2021 report. Netflix added 2.31 million net new paid subscribers in the US and Canada in Q1 2020, bringing the region's total subscriber count to 69.97 million. That's growth of about 5% year over year. The company attributed stronger worldwide growth to increased media consumption during quarantines.

This year, 19.7% of the country's population (or 6.0 million people) will be P2P mobile payment users. But that significantly trails the US market, where 30.6% of the population uses P2P payments.
