    Voice-based clinical assistants are gaining investor attention, but it’ll be difficult for entrants to carve into the market with the threat of Microsoft-owned voice assistant Nuance. For example, besides Suki, Robin Healthcare recently scored $50 million to build out its “Alexa for healthcare” scribe device that uses AI to record patient-provider interactions and upload clinical notes into the EHR.

At-home smart speakers (32%) are on par with phones (31%) as the most popular way to use voice assistants multiple times a day, according to a May 2021 survey from Vixen Labs and Open Voice Network. Zuckerberg demoed the technology by creating a virtual beach, adding clouds, ships, and a musical soundtrack with voice commands.
