US Total Media Ad and Marketing Spending, by Media and Format, 2017 & 2018 (billions and % change)
DescriptionTraditional media advertising—including TV, radio, print, out-of-home, cinema—accounted for $117 billion dollars in the US during 2018, down nearly 1% from 2017. Spending on marketing services (shopper marketing, event marketing) was up 3.8% and internet ad spending grew over 15% in 2018.
