eMarketer Outside Referral Bonus

We will pay you up to $1,000 for the referral of a hired employee.

Who is eligible?

  • Anyone* except current eMarketer employees, staffing agencies or staffing agency employees (US residents only).
  • Candidates cannot refer themselves.
  • Internships and part-time positions are not eligible for the bonus.
  • Because eMarketer is looking for the highest quality talent, referrals are limited to 3 per month.**

*Must be a person, not a business entity.

**Referrals must know the person who referred them. No strangers, please! We will screen for this during the interview process. If you do not know the person you’re referring, the bonus will be null and void.

How does it work?

To be eligible for the bonus you must send an email to, attach the candidate's resume and include the following necessary information:

  • How do you know the candidate?
  • Why do you think the candidate is a good fit for eMarketer?
  • What skills and strengths does the candidate have that make them a good fit for this position?
  • Have you discussed this position with the candidate?
  • Is this candidate prepared to accept an interview?
  • How are you familiar with eMarketer?
  • What is the candidate's citizenship status/employment eligibility?


  • Bonuses are paid in two parts. The first half is paid after the hired candidate has been successfully employed for 90 days, and the other half after the candidate has been successfully employed for six months.
  • Each referrer will need to fill out the appropriate paperwork, including, but not limited to a W9 form. eMarketer will provide the appropriate paperwork.
  • All bonus payments will be made via check and will be reported for tax purposes.
  • Bonus recipients will receive a 1099 form for Federal Income Tax purposes and will be required to pay any/all applicable taxes.

Bonuses are awarded at the discretion of eMarketer’s Organizational Development team. Bonuses are not retroactive.
