Instagram and Facebook made a big splash in 2016 with the introduction of Instagram Stories, Facebook Live and other tools with promising potential for marketers. Greg Hounslow, emerging media manager for airline company WestJet, spoke with eMarketer’s Maria Minsker about his predictions for how these emerging tools will mature in 2017.
eMarketer: As you think ahead to 2017, what’s the biggest social media trend that’s on your mind?
Greg Hounslow: The importance of video continues to be top of mind. We know that video gets a great response from our fans and followers on all of our social platforms, so that’s something that we constantly have on our radar.
