Data is from the June 2016 TrendSource "Grocery Consumer Insights Study." 3,004 grocery buyers in North America were surveyed online during April 18-May 1, 2016. Respondents were from Canada (2.0%), Puerto Rico (0.3%) and the US (97.6%). 75% of respondents were female, 23% were male and 1% responded that they do not gender identify. Respondents were ages 18-20 (1%), 21-30 (29%), 31-40 (22%), 41-50 (18%), 51-60 (16%) and 61+ (14%). Respondents identified their race/ethnicity as Asian or Pacific Islander (3%), black (13%), Hispanic (5%), Native American or Alaskan native (1%) and white (74%). Respondents identified their household income as under $25K (16%), $25,001-$40K (25%), $40,001-$70K (30%), $70,001-$100K (19%) and $100,001+ (11%).
