Data is from the March 2016 Verband Internet Reisevertrieb (VIR) report titled "Daten und Fakten zum Online-Reisevertrieb 2017." Data is based on the Forschungsgemeinschaft für Urlaub und Reisen (FUR) report titled "Reiseanalyse 2017." 2,542 internet users in Germany ages 14-70 were surveyed online during November 2016. Additionally, 7,714 consumers in Germany ages 14+ were surveyed in-person during January-February 2017. Vacation trips were defined as having a duration of 5+ days.
