Data is from the September 2017 Pew Research Center report titled "News Use Across Social Media Platforms 2017." 4,971 US adults ages 18+ from Pew Research Center's American Trends Panel (ATP) were surveyed online during August 8-21, 2017. The margin of sampling error is +/-2.5 percentage points at the 95% confidence level. Respondents are recruited from landline and mobile random-digital-dial surveys and the survey is conducted online; those without internet access are provided a tablet with wireless internet connection.
