Data is from the June 2017 KDDI Corporation "Smartphone Payment Usage Intention Survey" as cited in press release. 2,260 smartphone users ages 15-59 in Japan were surveyed online during June 16-19, 2017. Respondents are equally represented among age groups and gender and were drawn from all regions across Japan. KDDI is a Japan-based telecommunications operator.
