    Data is from the March 2017 Marsh Research "Smartphone Apps Survey" as cited in press release. 1,000 smartphone users ages 20-69 in Japan were surveyed online during February 9-13, 2017. Respondents identified themselves as male (50%) and female (50%) and were evenly drawn from the age groups of 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-69 (20% each). Marsh Research is a market research firm headquartered in Tokyo.
