    Data is from the December 2016 Ascend2 report titled "2017 Digital Marketing Plans." 265 marketers worldwide were surveyed during the week of December 4, 2016. Respondents identified their role as owner/partner/CxO (35%), VP/director/manager (54%) and nonmanagement (11%). Respondents identified their primary marketing channel as B2B (47%), B2C (35%) and both equally (18%). Respondents identified the number of employees at their company as fewer than 50 (21%), 50-500 (41%) and 500+ (38%).
