    Data is from the March 2017 GetResponse report titled "Email Marketing & Marketing Automation Excellence 2017" in conjunction with Holistic Email Marketing, Content Marketing Institute (CMI) and Smart Insights. 2,510 email marketers worldwide from various business sizes and industries were surveyed online during January 2017. Respondents were Smart Insights members, customers of GetResponse and subscribers to CMI and Holistic Email Marketing. Respondents identified their business as B2B (19.1%), B2C (41.8%) and both B2B and B2C (39.1%). GetResponse is an email marketing service and Smart Insights is a marketing advice company. Holistic Email Marketing, an email marketing consultancy, helped in creating the report.
