    Data is from the January 2017 Boston Retail Partners "2017 POS/Customer Engagement Survey: 18th Annual Survey" sponsored by Manhattan Associates. 500 retailers in North America were surveyed online during November-December 2016. Respondents titles were primarily directors and vice presidents of store systems or IT and C-level executives. Respondents worked for a variety of industries including convenience and fuel (4%), drug store/health & beauty (2%), general merchandise (11%), grocery, food & beverage (7%), specialty hard goods (41%), specialty soft goods (28%) and other (7%). Respondents identified their company's annual revenue as less than $100 million (7%), $100-$499 million (26%), $500-$999 million (13%), $1-$4.99 billion (37%), $5-$9.99 billion (9%) and $10+ billion (8%). Boston Retail Partners is a retail management consulting firm.
