Data is from the December 2016 AARP report titled "2016 Technology Trends Among Mid-Life and Older Americans." 1,500 US consumers ages 50+ were surveyed via telephone during July 1-31, 2016. The survey was part of AARP's Attitude, Trend & Opinion Monitor (ATOM), an ongoing survey of both AARP members and nonmembers focused on various topics. The margin of error is +/-2.5 percentage points. AARP is a US nonprofit social welfare organization for older adults.
