    Data is from the March 2016 Salesforce report titled "2016 State of Marketing: Trends and Insights From Nearly 4,000 Marketing Leaders Worldwide." 3,975 marketing leaders worldwide from a variety of industries were surveyed during January 11-31, 2016. Respondents were from Australia (8%), Brazil (9%), Canada (11%), France (7%), Germany (10%), Japan (10%), Netherlands (1%), the Nordics (1%), the UK (11%) and the US (32%). Respondents identified their company as B2B (29%), B2B2C (45%) and B2C (26%). Respondents identified their role as CEO (16%), CMO (5%), director or equivalent (23%), manager/supervisor/team leader (19%), marketing analyst (3%), owner or equivalent (27%) and VP (7%). Respondents identified the number of employees at their company as 1-100 (39%), 101-3,500 (44%) and 3,501+ (17%).
