    Data is from the June 2017 Salesforce report titled "Fourth Annual State of Marketing: Insights and trends from 3,500 global marketing leaders." 3,500 marketing leaders worldwide from a variety of industries were surveyed in April 2017. Respondents were from Australia/New Zealand (10%), Brazil (10%), Canada (11%), France (10%), Germany (10%), Japan (10%), the Netherlands (10%), the UK/Ireland (11%) and the US (17%). Respondents identified their roles as CEO/owner or equivalent (44%), CMO (23%), director/manager or equivalent (25%) and VP of marketing (9%). Respondents identified the number of employees at their company as 1-100 (27%), 101-3,500 (57%) and 3,501+ (16%).
