Another Meal Delivery Service Shuts Down

On-demand food delivery startup Sprig, which cooked its own meals in-house and used drivers to deliver them, is shutting down. Similar to other meal delivery services, the business struggled. According to Bloomberg, the company has been reportedly burning through $850,000 a month and seeking a buyer.

Travel Turf War

Major hotel chains are working to claw back business from online travel agencies, the Wall Street Journal reports. Many large brands are offering deals to loyalty members who book direct.

Lesbian Dating App in China Goes Dark

A dating app for lesbians in China has been shut down, Reuters reports. The app, Rela, has around 5 million registered users, a cached version of its entry on Apple's iTunes site shows.

Spotify Settles Lawsuit

Spotify settled a class action lawsuit with a group of songwriters who were alleging copy infringement. TechCrunch reports that this better situates the company for its possible public debut, which the company is reported to do either later this year, or early next.
