WeChat Enables Female Ecommerce in China

Domino’s Will Use Robots in Germany to Deliver Pizza
Domino’s has teamed up with Starship Technologies, a robot startup, to begin delivering pizza in Hamburg, Germany this year. According to Recode, the deliveries will begin within the next two months and “will only be available within a mile radius of select Domino’s locations.”
A Look at Ant Financial’s Fintech Marketplace
At Tech in Asia, Eva Xiao breaks down the new financial technology services marketplace, called Caifu Hao, announced by Alibaba affiliate Ant Financial last week. The new platform, set to launch in June, is intended to let consumers access digital financial services like investment vehicles and insurance directly from the institutions providing them. Caifu Hao plans to appeal to providers of these services by giving them detailed information about users.
Truecaller Moves into Digital Payments in India
Sweden-based Truecaller, an app designed to identify spam callers, launched a new mobile payment service in India called Truecaller Pay. Truecaller partnered with ICICI Bank in the country to allow users to make or receive digital payments from anyone holding an account with a bank that participated in a payments standard known as Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Truecaller is among the most widely adopted mobile apps in India, with more than 150 million users, according to MediaNama.
