Ship It Now: New research from GlobalWebIndex found that nearly one-third of Walmart shoppers in the US wanted next-day delivery from the retailing giant. However, cost remained the most important factor among those surveyed—77% said free delivery would increase their chances of making a purchase, while 60% said the same about coupons and other discounts.

One Billion Hours: YouTube is winning when it comes to outdrawing the competition. US users on Android devices spent almost 1 billion hours watching content on the Google-owned platform in July 2017, according to an analysis from App Annie. YouTube's Android app was also responsible for about 80% of all video consumed by US users over the yearlong period that ended in July.

Apparel Demand: Women's apparel is expected to total $171.4 billion in US retail sales by 2021, concludes Freedonia Focus Reports. Men will have less sartorial expenses that year; the research firm estimates retail sales for males will total $84.6 billion that year.

Social Favors B2C: Social media platforms have more value to business-to-consumer (B2C) companies than their business-to-business (B2B) counterparts, a survey from Clutch and Smart Insights reveals. While almost 60% of B2C companies surveyed reported social media bolstered their sales and revenue figures, only 46% of B2Bs said the same. The report also found that B2C firms focused on platforms like Facebook and YouTube, while B2B companies preferred more business-minded services such as LinkedIn.
