Swipe Right for Credit Score: A new study by Discover and Match Media Group looking at online daters in the US and their relationship between finance and romance found that over half said having a good credit score is more attractive than driving a fancy car. Similarly, 50% said that a good credit score is more attractive than an impressive job title.

Winter Is Coming: An influx of new subscribers for last month's "Game of Thrones" season 7 premiere boosted HBO's streaming service, HBO Now, to the top app store charts, per data from Sensor Tower. Indeed, on August 16, the app grossed roughly $2.6 million across Apple's App Store and Google Play, a 41% increase over its previous record on June 24, 2016.

Cyber Security: Despite more than half (54%) of the 350 largest publicly traded companies in the UK saying cyber threats were a top risk to their business, one in 10 operate without a cyberattack response plan and more than two-thirds (68%) of their boards have not received training to deal with a cyber incident, according to the latest edition of an annual report from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport examining the scale of UK business' cybersecurity and data protection challenges.
