Apple Leads Norway's Smartphone and Tablet Markets
Samsung takes second place

According to TNS Gallup Norway, 85% of internet users in Norway owned a smartphone in Q2 2015. This was up slightly from Q2 2014, when exactly eight in 10 were smartphone owners.

The most popular mobile phone brand in Norway was Apple. TNS found that 36% of internet users in the country owned an iPhone during Q2 2015. Samsung-branded phones were not far behind, however, used by one-third of internet users in Norway.
Apple and Samsung were also the two most common tablet brands in Norway. TNS found that more than four in 10 internet users (44%) in the country had access to an iPad in Q2 2015. Another 21% of internet users had access to a Samsung Galaxy during the survey period, up from 17% in Q2 2014.

In all, 68% of internet users in Norway had access to a tablet or ereader in Q2 2015. This was an increase of 9 percentage points from one year earlier, when the share was 59%.
eMarketer estimates that the number of smartphone users in Norway will hit 3.5 million, or 76.6% of internet users, this year. The number of tablet users will rise by 10.9% to reach 2.8 million people in the same time period.
