Hispanic-American Internet users are more likely to spend time online than watching TV, according to a February 2008 comScore Media Metrix survey conducted on behalf of Terra Networks USA.

While 50% of the Hispanic-American Internet users surveyed said they spent at least one hour per day watching television, 56% said they spend at least one hour per day online.

In addition, 72% of respondents said they had a computer and a television in the same room.

As a result, multitasking is prevalent. Three-quarters of the participants with a TV and a computer in the same room use them together either always or very frequently.

Among those multitaskers, 44% send e-mail or instant messages about the program they are watching, 40% research products being advertised on TV and 35% visit a Website for the show being watched.
